TIRANA, 5 December 2023 – President Bajram Begaj paid a visit to Peq today where he met with residents and local authorities.
The commitment of elected leaders and entrepreneurs to increase social welfare through development projects was the focus of the talks. President Begaj was interested in the lifestyle of the residents of this municipality and the initiatives undertaken to facilitate the activities of local businesses.
The head of state emphasized the importance of supporting farmers so that their organic products have a guaranteed market, while he appreciated the tradition of producers who maintain quality.
President Begaj paid a visit to the “Euroteorema” construction company that has been operating for years in Peqin.
He was also in an olive oil processing factory and participated in the fair of the residents of the area.
“Everything you produce remains in demand, especially at this time when people are becoming more and more aware of eating healthily every day. Our society must be made aware to buy these healthy products” said President Begaj while appreciating the preservation of family and local tradition observed in the agricultural and handicraft products exhibited at the fair.
The President also praised Bishkem school students for promoting local products with their healthy food education programs.
According to President Begaj, such models of success should be encouraged and supported, and for this he guaranteed support to residents, entrepreneurs and municipal leaders not only in Peq but throughout the country.
