TIRANA, September 12 – The deed of Azem Hajdari is a great inspiration for Albanians to stand up strongly in protests and demonstrations, said the chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha at the tribute ceremony at the memorial of the late, Azem Hajdari, who was killed 24 years ago.
Present at the ceremony were his family and friends, among whom the chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta who laid wreaths at his memorial in Tirana on Monday.
“Azem Hajdari dared to come out in a powerful protest with the students, to put himself epically at the head of this movement, which brought the downfall and the launch of pluralism in a 3-day time,” said Berisha.
According to him, Azem Hajdari and his friends separated the dictatorial system from that of values. “For this act, Azem Hajdari was executed by criminal representatives, killers in uniform, colonels of the regime.”
Further Berisha said he is and remains a great and eternal inspiration for his deed. “With his message, he is more alive than ever. Therefore, Hajdari’s deed is a great inspiration for Albanians to stand up strongly in protests and demonstrations,” said Berisha.
Much is spoken about protests by DP but so far there is no clear idea on what will happen. /Argumentum.al
