TIRANA, June 9 – Pursuant to the readmission agreement between the government of the Republic of Albania and the government of the United Kingdom, 50 Albanian citizens were repatriated in organized flights. They were repatriated because they did not meet the conditions for staying in the UK, said a statement issued by Albanian police on Friday.
The State Police in cooperation with the British side within the framework of the joint Task Force has taken measures for the necessary verifications and for bringing to the fore the responsibility of the citizens who have not respected the obligations.
The State Police is determined to cooperate with the parties to prevent and punish the illegal crossing of borders and appeals to all Albanian citizens to implement the legislation in force on the rules of movement in the EU and beyond. /argumentum.al
