TIRANA, October 18 – Deputy of the Democratic Party (DP) Gazment Bardhi, representative of Enkelejd Alibeaj’s parliamentary group, spoke on Tuesday about the meeting with the head of the National Council of the DP, Edi Paloka.
Bardhi said the meeting, whose agenda was to find common language on joint candidates for the local power elections next May, was in a spirit of full understanding. He emphasized that one-sidedness does not help this process and that it will be necessary to create a moment of sincere cooperation between the democrats to find a common winning candidate.
“I will not reveal any more details, apologizing to public opinion. The meeting was constructive and full of understanding. Neither has had a position on a particular issue. We simply exchanged thoughts,” said Bardhi.
He further said that it will be necessary to find a candidate who is not only common, but a winner for the local elections.
“The position of the DP parliamentary group announced last Monday was that we are ready to start work immediately,” said Bardhi. /Argumentum.al
