TIRANA, November 22 – The former Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazovic, has received the “Golden Eagle” award in Tirana, in the ceremony that was organized in commemoration of Arbëresh Day on Wednesday.
During his speech after receiving the award that was presented to him by the writer Diana Çuli, Abazovic said that this award should be a symbol of cooperation and love between Albanians around the world.
“When we decided for the first time for the joint meeting of the governments of Albania and Montenegro our proposal was how to make an eagle, and that eagle could be golden,” he said.
“The golden eagle unites the two countries and creates a bridge of cooperation. I hope that the golden eagle and the eagle of the nation will be a symbol of love, cooperation and future among all Albanians in the EU,” Abazovic said.
In the meantime, according to the agenda, the III Diaspora Summit will take place on November 23 at the Palace of Congresses.
High representatives of Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro and over 2 thousand compatriots from the diaspora, who have been registered for months to participate in the summit, will be present at the Plenary Session of the Summit. /argumentum.al
