Kosovo’s acting president Vjosa Osmani, who paid a two-day visit to Brussels held a series of meetings, Pristina media said quoting notes on social outlets by her and EU officials on Wednesday.
So Ms. Osmani wrote Tuesday on Twitter that she had a very productive meeting with the President of the European Parliament, David Sassoli. “I emphasized Kosovo’s commitment to deliver on all necessary reforms which will not only accelerate EU integration, but also improve the lives of Kosovo citizens. I stressed that justice must be served for sustainable peace in Western Balkan,” Osmani said.
A day after meeting acting president Osmani, EP President Sassoli wrote on Twitter on Wednesday that he is glad to see Kosovo committed to reforms. “Thanks, Vjosa Osmani for this interesting exchange! Glad to see that Kosovo remains on the path of reform, which will lead to a more prosperous future. Fighting crime and corruption will bring you closer to the EU and improve the lives of all citizens. The EU is here to support,” Sassoli wrote on Twitter.
In the meantime the EU Commission Audiovisual Service tweeted after Osmani’s meeting with the EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement, Oliver Varhelyi as following: “Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi received Acting President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani.”
During her two-day visit to Brussels Osmani also met the EU Special Representative on Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, MEPs, as well as senior officials of Belgium. / argumentum.al
