TIRANA, September 3 – The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku had a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan during her visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), according to a post released by Balluku on social networks on Sunday.
Balluku and Al Nahyan discussed relations and further strengthening of cooperation between the two countries in various fields like economy, tourism, innovation, infrastructure, as well as the development and exchange of governmental practices.
“Energy and climate are also two important sectors where there is space and will to cooperate more closely between Albania and the United Emirates within the framework of COP 28. The UAE is a partner country that has continuously supported us,” said Balluku.
Concrete projects of strategic importance were also discussed, not only for Albania, but also for the region, in the presence of Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister for International Cooperation, and Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaidi, Minister of Investments of the United Arab Emirates.
“The months ahead will be very promising and I look forward to sharing with the public the decisions we have made during this visit to the United Arab Emirates,” said Balluku. /argumentum.al
