11 new agreements were signed between Albania and Montenegro. This was what produced the second joint meeting between the two governments, Albania and Montenegro.
The meeting took place in Podgorica, where Dritan Abazovic received Prime Minister Rama and the ministerial delegation for the conclusion of agreements and memorandums in the fields of energy, defense, fishing, agriculture, education, sports and culture.
It was the two prime ministers who first signed the joint statement and the bilateral agreement for the construction of the bridge on the Buna River, considered one of the most important agreements for the infrastructural development of the two countries.
Another agreement is the one that will pave the way for the construction of the new border point between Albania and Montenegro.
This border point will be opened near Ulcinj and Velipoja, in the area between Sveti Nikola in Montenegro and Pulaj in Albania.
To continue with a cooperation agreement in the areas of maintenance and joint management of fisheries in Shkodra Lake and Buna River.
The good neighborliness with Montenegro has become the reason to cooperate even earlier on the construction of road and railway infrastructure, the protection of the Albanian language and the mutual recognition of driving licenses.
