TIRANA, July 5 – The Albanian contingents of the Armed Forces, part of the Western Command in Kosovo, will continue their mission as part of KFOR, declared the Minister of Defense, Niko Peleshi through social networks on Wednesday.
“Albanian contingents, part of the Kosovo Western Command, handed the flag to each other to continue the mission as part of KFOR,” Peleshi announced.
“Our officers were awarded medals by NATO and 4 of them by the Ministry of Defense of Italy for their contribution to maintaining peace and security,” he said.
The ceremony took place at “Camp Villaggio Italia”, the headquarters of the Western Regional Command (RC-W) of KFOR.
Meanwhile, the Western KFOR Regional Command (RC-w) is organizing the “Big Rock” exercise in the western part of Kosovo from July 4 to 6, 2023. The exercise, which is a military routine, is being carried out by the multinational contingent RC- W and aims to improve unit readiness and preparation. /argumentum.al
