TIRANA, April 7 – Prime Minister Edi Rama was asked by journalists about the Becket case after the government cabinet meeting, where he announced the government’s decisions, among which was the salary increase for administration employees. Rama said that Albania has not paid any money for the case with Becket.
“You touched upon this topic on those who think that their good is the bad of Albania instead of revolting that a criminal sentenced to 17 years in prison for defrauding the Albanian state manages to break the way in a court with which we will open big problems,” said Rama.
According to him, it is not true that Albania has paid the arbitration money. “They are not seeds in the cheater’s pocket… We will fight with him! This is an aspect of the process that is related to confidentiality, and my job is to maintain the confidentiality of the process.”
Rama announced that Albania has not paid any money at all. “This is a very complicated world with many procedures. Fraudsters manage to penetrate and do it not only with Albania but also with other international institutions,” said Rama. /Argumentuma.al
