Albania supports Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity through a post released on FB on Monday. It took the opportuto to renew its call to Moscow to de-escalate and resolve the situation diplomatically.

The Parliament of Albania wishes to reaffirm Albania’s support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and to renew its call for Russia to de-escalate and resolve the situation diplomatically.
In the meantime, President Ilir Meta convened a meeting of the National Security Council on Monday to discuss the latest developments on the situation at the Ukraine-Russia border, as well as the consequences of a further escalation of a possible aggression against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Meta emphasized in particular the necessity of identifying and maintaining contacts with Albanian citizens temporarily residing in Ukraine and enabling their evacuation in case of need, continuing security and defense reforms, strengthening capacities against cyber attacks, taking measures to increase the security of strategic infrastructure and guaranteeing state reserves in each case.
He advised the relevant institutions to follow the developments in the Balkans with maximum attention.
