TIRANA – “We are at war time.” This is how Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama described the situation in this Balkan country hit by the coronavirus epidemics with 10 declared cases of affected people by the Covid- 19.
In the second government meeting on Tuesday government’s head Rama unveiled some strict measures to cope with the impact of the epidemics vowing to close down pubs, discos, gyms and other gathering venues in order to put people’s health first while urged bars and restaurants to meet certain criteria.
“Even (government) meetings to be held will be something rare,” said Mr. Rama, who informed that all administration employees who can make work through computer should not come to work. Also public services at state offices will be closed. ‘ADISA will be closed on Wednesday. We are at a war state.”
Further on he accused the opposition and its leader Lulzim Basha of inciting panic, but, however, he called on them for cooperation.
“Let’s cooperate, there is no need for many task-forces. This is hurting an entire people. The invitation is very sincere,” said Albania’s PM. /argumentum.al
