TIRANA, October 22 – The Albanian Navy and the ship “Butrinti” continue their contribution to the Aegean in securing the territorial waters of the Alliance.
Defense Minister Niko Peleshi shared on Sunday moments from the operation carried out by the Albanian crew, which discovered another dinghy with 34 immigrants.
“Part of the NATO mission, Sea Guardian, the Albanian crew found a raft with 34 immigrants, among them 10 women and 1 child, from Yemen, Sudan and Syria,” said Peleshi.
The minister announced that the dinghy and the people on board were handed over to the Turkish and Greek Coast Guards. /argumentum.al
