Speaker of Albanian Parliament Gramoz Ruçi has sent a letter to the Speaker of the National Assembly of Serbia, Ivica Dačić, congratulating him on his election and inviting him to participate in the first Balkan Forum against Anti- Semitism.
The Forum will be organized online on October 28, 2020 by the Albanian Parliament in partnership with the Movement Against Anti-Semitism and the Jewish Agency for Israel.
“On the occasion of your election to the high office of President of the National Assembly of Serbia, I wish you success in fulfilling this important task. Relations between Albania and Serbia are recognizing new developments, serving bilateral and regional cooperation as well as synergies for the Europeanization of the region,” said the mmessage quoted by local media on Saturday. It’s noted that economic cooperation has recently marked a significant increase in areas such as trade, tourism, energy, transport, etc.
“Albania has welcomed the recent agreements between Kosovo and Serbia, facilitated by the US and supports the dialogue between the two countries, mediated by the EU,” said Ruçi who stressed that parliamentary cooperation has also increased following the visit of the Speaker of the National Assembly to Tirana in March 2015 and several high-level meetings in multilateral international activities. “I am convinced that the cooperation between the Albanian Parliament and the National Assembly of Serbia will expand and strengthen.”
In the meantime Ruçi informed his counterpart that the Albanian Parliament in partnership with the Movement Against Anti-Semitism and the Jewish Agency for Israel will organize the first Balkan Forum 2020 against Anti-Semitism (online) on October 28, 2020 with the aim of creating a united front of Balkan countries to work together against anti-Semitism.
“We would be honored to have you at this event through a recorded greeting or video message,” said Albanian Speaker Ruçi in his message. / argumentum.al
