The coronavirus situation is stable in Albania but all the restrictive measures will remain in force with the exception of the fact that all students will return to school from Monday.
This was announced by Deputy Minister of Health Mira Rakacolli after Thursday’s meeting of the Technical Committee of Experts which discussed the progress of the pandemic in the country.
“The situation is stable. All measures will remain in force. But all students will return to schools starting from Monday next week,” said Deputy Minister Rakacolli.
Speaking in concrete terms
the Director of the Institute for Public Health (ISHP), Albana Fico said that the incidence of infections has decreased. According to her, so far the most problematic regions are Gjirokastra, Berat and Korça.
“The situation of the coronavirus is stable. The number of hospitalized persons and of those in intubation has decreased. Throughout this period, vaccination has continued, and the daily average of innoculation stands at 16,000. Gjirokastra, Berat and Korca have not undergone significant changes to assess the measures taken in advance. I take this opportunity to remind the citizens through this communication that our battle with the virus is not over, therefore the observance of the rules, wearing a mask, social distancing, personal hygiene and quarantine of new cases must continue,” said Fico./argumentum.al
