TIRANA, November 7 – Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted to the situation created lately in the North of Kosovo, saying he was following attentively any developments there.
Rama called on Pristina and Belgrade for dialogue through a post on Twitter on Monday.
“We are following with great attention and real concern the aggravated situation in Kosovo and join the positions of our strategic allies US and EU. While we fully support the basic idea of the French-German Plan, we call for restraint and DIALOGUE,” said Rama.
According to him, the Kosovo authorities are within their right to have reservations regarding the Association of Serbian Municipalities and Rama echoed a good understanding of it.
“But I also understand the allies when they ask for this by “force”! That’s why we need to seek an UNTIRING DIALOGUE with Serbia in order not to lose the allies too!” said Rama.
Found between two fires because of being a close friend of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Rama put allies in the center of his first delayed stance towards what is happening in brotherly Kosovo.
The US and the EU are pressing Kosovo to put off the question of licence plates and approve the creation of the Serbian Association in North Kosovo a prelude to the tragic event in Bosnia where the Serbian Republic was created.
Apparently Rama is in favor of such a partition of Kosovo, according to a well- known analyst speaking on condition of anonimity. Resistance should be put against any partition in any form, said the analyst who kept wondering on the stance of Premier of Albania Rama towards the Republic of Kosovo.
