TIRANA, June 19 – Prime Minister Edi Rama has warned of the cooling of relations with Serbia, if the latter does not release the three Kosovo policemen who are being held in custody.
In a post on Twitter on Monday, Rama wrote that “the longer these three men are kept in Serbia, even if they have crossed the border line they have not committed any crime, the less it will be possible for our bilateral relations not to take many steps back… This will be the week of the return of the ice between us if they are not released.”
Further, Rama said that if de-escalation does not happen, the big loser will be Kosovo, because Serbia may not be able to live without being re-isolated. He warned of the danger of the North passing under the control of KFOR which, according to him, would cause Pristina to lose “for who knows how long, even the formal control of the state over the entire territory.”
For the Prime Minister of Albania, Kurti must “come out of the shell of self-isolation” and “not lose the North by seeing enemies and traitors everywhere. The time is now and it is flying,” concluded Rama. /argumentum.al
