Ambassador Kim Urges Establishment of Constitutional Court by End of 2020

“Leaders must fulfill promise to the people of Albania for justice,” has said US Ambassador to Tirana Yuri Kim.
In a post on Twitter on Thursday, Washington’s top diplomatic envoy to Albania was pleased to see the progress made toward functioning of the Constitutional Court by end of this year.

“Good to see progress toward functioning Const’l Ct by end of this year. 6 weeks left – Presidency, Parliament & justice institutions must continue to work with urgency. Thanks to JAC for ensuring qualified candidates. Leaders must fulfill promise to the people of Albania for justice! Presidency & Parliament have now published their respective lists of candidates for the Constitutional Ct. We applaud those who answered the call to serve. We encourage Judicial Appointments Council to act quickly to evaluate the candidates. Albania must have CC by end of the year.”
