In an interview on News24 TV on Saturday, the Ambassador of Ukraine Volodymyr Shkurov in Tirana reveals that some families with children have already arrived in Albania, after leaving their country as a result of the war.
While expressing gratitude for the immediate assistance that Albania gave to Ukraine, Shkurov shows what he asked of the Albanian government, immediately after Russia started bombing there.
He said that from 24 February in Ukraine a state of martial law has been declared which means that men aged 18 to 60 are not allowed to leave Ukraine, are obliged to register in the military register, to go later to defend the homeland .
“So by law, men must stay in their homeland to defend the country, and Ukraine is showing that it has a worthy and united people,” said the Ambassador. /Argumentum.al
