President Ilir Meta received on Thursday the new Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to Tirana on the occasion of the presentation of Credentials Letters, presidential sources said. President Meta congratulated Ambassador Durmishi on his assignment and assured him of support in successfully fulfilling his mission in Albania.
The Head of State praised the experience of Ambassador Durmishi and expressed confidence that his efforts will serve to further strengthen the excellent and fraternal relations between Albania and Kosovo. President Meta stressed that Albania and Kosovo must work closely together to alleviate any bureaucratic obstacles existing in the developments in the political, cultural, economic, trade and all other spheres of life.
Meta noted that together the two countries must work on strengthening and consolidating Kosovo’s international authority as well as on the path of European integration of both our countries.
In the meantime in a separate event President Ilir Meta received on Thursday the new Ambassador of Serbia to Tirana Slobodan Vukčević on the occasion of the presentation of Credentials Letters.
President Meta congratulated the Ambassador on his assignment and assured him of support in fulfilling his diplomatic mission in Albania.
The Head of State expressed the wish that his efforts will serve the growth of relations between Albania and Serbia, especially in the field of economy, trade and tourism.
Meta underlined that the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue mediated by the European Union for the full normalization of relations and mutual recognition is important not only for the two countries, but also for the region and its European perspective. / Argumentum.al
