TIRANA, August 11 – The Ministry of the Interior and the company “IdentiTek” announced citizens on Friday that all application offices for identity cards and biometric passports will be open on Saturday, August 12.
This is to facilitate the service for citizens, who come to spend their holidays during the summer in Albania.
“The procedure for applying for a biometric passport takes only a few minutes, at the ‘IdentiTek’ office, located in the area where you live. First, buy a coupon at any Albanian Post office. If you are applying for the first time, fill out the State Police form in e-Albania. If the document is a renewal, this form is not necessary,” the press release said. “Re-application for an identity card can be done at any office, regardless of residence. The whole procedure takes a few minutes,” the announcement said.
The Interior Ministry and “IdentiTek” called on citizens whose identity cards have expired to complete the procedures for its renewal as soon as possible. Online services are available with the identity card, but also they can be used to travel to the countries of the region with which Albania has agreements. /argumentum.al
