The Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Tirana-Durrës, Monsignor Arjan Dodaj conveyed on Saturday his message to the Catholic faithful for the feast of Easter.
In the congratulatory message, Monsignor Dodaj states that “the resurrection of the crucified has a force and meaning for all humanity and the whole world. “Today we see the Christ who died on the cross for us in many innocent brothers and sisters victims of injustice, violence and war.”
He stated that “with Christ at Easter we see the great battle of mankind between life and death, between hope and despair, the temptation to surrender to evil, and the struggle for good.”
“The invitation that God gives us all today is to see the future with determination because in the face of the darkness that humanity has on the horizon today, the light of God’s presence really penetrates that never leaves man,” said the Metropolitan Archbishop of Tirana- Durrës.
Monsignor Arjan Dodaj emphasized that “the life that God has given us deserves to be lived even more, to build together this life with more responsibility in our country. Let us be sure that this is the treasure that God has given us for eternity.”
“The resurrection of the crucified has meaning and strength that applies to all mankind. We see it in many innocent brothers and sisters, victims of the injustice of violence and war. With Christ at Easter we see the battle between life and death. Ruins, pandemics and war have marked the lives of many people, and this should motivate us to love life more. Let’s build a life together with many responsibilities in our country. I invite my Albanian compatriots to take together the responsibility to defeat the darkness that engulfs society in the dead end where corruption has been introduced. Corruption is the result of a frightened and scared heart that hides its head like an ostrich. Let’s get rid of the debt we feel through bribery when looking for a job,” said Monsignor Arjan Dodaj. /Argumentum.al
