TIRANA, September 28 – The Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo has approved with 97 votes in favor and none against and no abstentions, the Resolution that strongly condemns the terrorist attack by criminal groups on the Kosovo Police, which happened on Sunday, reported Ekonomia Online on Thursday.
In this Resolution prepared by the Parliamentary Groups, the international factor is requested to exert its influence to confront Serbia with the support it has given to this terrorist group from whose attacks one Kosovo policeman died and another was injured.
The document that has been proposed by all parliamentary groups has 7 articles, where support is given to the institutions of Kosovo for the recent events, condemning in the strongest terms the terrorist attack organized by the Republic of Serbia on the Kosovo Police on September 24, 2023 and asking the international factor to exert its influence to confront Serbia with its role in relation to the organization and support of any kind that it has given to the terrorist group for the attack in the north of the Republic of Kosovo.
The resolution appreciates the work, commitment and exceptional results of the security institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and the international security partner institutions (EULEX and KFOR) in the joint action to repel and destroy the terrorist attacks organized by Serbia in the north of the country.
The resolution encourages and supports political pluralism in the ranks of the Serbian community in Kosovo, whose development enables democratic progress and increases transparency and accountability to this community and promotes the promotion of its real interests in the Republic of Kosovo.
The document asks the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to cooperate with international allies, especially the US, to strengthen the Rule of Law and common Euro-Atlantic values, and calls for the need of an international investigation into the Republic of Serbia regarding the organization of terrorist activities. /argumentum.al
