Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will hold a video conference with Prime Ministers of Albania and North Macedonia Edi Rama and Zoran Zaev.
It is learned that the videoconference will be held on June 29. The topic of discussion among the leaders will focus on ‘Balkan Schengen’.
But despite the invitation, Kosovo refused to participate in this meeting. It is to be recalled that Kosovo has refused all meetings related to ‘Balkan Schengen’.
The Mini-Schengen Area is an economic zone between Albania, North Macedonia and Serbia, the plans for it were announced in 2019. The nickname refers to the Schengen Area, a common travel area that includes 26 European countries. Albania is part of that travel area.
Such a meeting takes place after EU failed to open the intergovernmental talks with Albania and North Macedonia whose PMs have denounced the bureaucracy of the Union. /argumentum.al
