The dialogue with business representatives has helped the Democratic Party (DP) to formulate some of the main solutions to the situation of the Albanian economy, solutions which were presented by the Democrats exhaustively last year, said DP chairman Lulzim Basha in a meeting with representatives of the Commerce Chamber in Durres which was also attended by the DP candidate for Mayor Luan Hoti on Friday.
“We understand very well that the situation continues to be serious. You illustrated it with some of the main concerns such as the departure of the workforce, such as the consequences in the economic chain of either the earthquake or Covid, and of course because of the shadows of tourism, “said Basha.
Speaking about the potential that Durres has, Basha said that it is a potential which is eyed by local people, but also the eyes of all Albanians are set on it like the eyes of the entire region. According to him, Durres has been and remains the envy of Albania’s neighbors and it was said in a positive sense. “I hope we can adapt them (these potentials) to the new reality of regional and European integration. So, Durres is extremely important for Albania.”
Basha noted that politics has lost its human face, politics has usurped institutions and institutions usurped by politics cannot serve the economy. / Argumentum.al
