The Democrats are united in their goal to build a better future, said the Chairman of the opposition Democratic Party (DP), Lulzim Basha in a video from the meeting in Durres which he released on Sunday.
According to media reports, the meeting was held on Saturday, and besides Basha’s supporters there were adversaries who protested against him.
“Day after day, Albanians are being convinced that the Democrats are united in their goal to build a better future,” Basha said.
“The way we unfold with the citizens the vision we have for politics, for the fight against corruption, for the development of the country is a sincere reflection on our past and an effort to dispel the shadows that have separated us from the healthiest part of Albanian society,” said Basha.
“This change that we have started from ourselves is decisive for the fate of the country because what the Democratic Party will be like today, Albania will be tomorrow,” Basha stressed.
Basha is the only DP head who has lost the general elections three times in a row becoming also a party head who does not resign after such disasters when the Socialist PM, Edi Rama pledges he will win the upcoming general elections. / Argumentum.al
