TIRANA, July 17 – The chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha has said that he will leave politics on the condition that the US brings a single proof for the charges that declared him Non Grata by the State Department.
In a press conference on Monday Berisha said that this decision of the US is sponsored by George Soros.
He said the state department has not presented any evidence, facts or documents since declaring him persona non grata. “My innocence has been proven by the 2-year period during which the world’s chief diplomat (Anthony Blinken) did not present a single fact. This did not happen to spare Berisha, but that there is no truth in that decision. My challenge is still open: present a single piece of evidence and I will finally leave politics,” said Berisha.
“To the shame of every Albanian, this attack against the opposition is organized by Rama and the mafia of George Soros. I remind every Albanian to never create the wrong impression that the US and the United Kingdom are behind this attack. These states are victims of some rotten apples that have fallen into Soros’s web, like Mcgonigal or Yuri Kim, who left (Albania) as if she was the secretary of the Socialist Party,” said Berisha. /argumentum.al
