TIRANA, March 16 – The chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha called May 14 as the day that divides history and called on the citizens to do everything to stop the great desolation of Lushnja and Albania.
Former Prime Minister Berisha made this statement while presenting on Thursday the candidate for the Lushnja Municipality in the local elections of May 14, Eduart Sharka.
“Let’s do everything to stop the great fatality of Lushnja and Albania, the desolation of the Albanian nation. May 14 is a date that divides history. After 32 days, you are invited to vote for the candidate you have chosen in a free vote, who was not nominated by either the mayor or the chairmanship,” said Berisha.
Further he said that 937,000 Albanians have emigrated to the EU from Albania in 8 years and it is not known who will remain in Albania at these rates in 16 years.
“There are no people in the world that know better what monism means, we lived it for half a century. Today we have a man who has all the power in his hands, he has more power than (late president) Ramiz Alia in 1991. We have in power a man who produces only evil and negativity for Albanians from morning to dinner. We have a government which violates citizens’ rights,” said Berisha. “Every honest socialist and citizen should join us,” he declared. /Argumentum.al
