TIRANA, January 20 – After the accusations addressed to the Prime Minister, Edi Rama and the Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj that they are in charge of the incinerator affair, the chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha did not even spare the prosecution authority for serious crimes, SPAK as a collaborator.
“The “Skrap” of the party has been covered by the garbage of the Rama-Veliaj venture. 51 million Euros have been paid by the citizens of Tirana for the offshore accounts of Rama and Veliaj,” said Berisha in the weekly press conference on Friday.
Among the reasons for the investigation that the opposition is asking for the 137 chartered flights of the Prime Minister, Berisha said that there are not only fabulous sums of money, but also suspicious trips. “In the last two years, imports from Colombia have increased 60 times, compared to 2015. The plane has also been used for other purposes,” said the DP head.
After the 1.2 million Euro scandal that led to the arrest of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance, Arlind Gjokutaj, Berisha said that Minister of Finance, Ibrahimaj is behind the corrupt affair. “I have very reliable information that the minister was the pivot. It was the main push.”
In order to make the accusations leveled against the government transparent, he publicly challenged the prime minister. “Let Edi Rama come to the debate with me, come out a little and show how much his skin and mind are worth,” said Berisha. /Argmentum.al
