TIRANA, February 21 – The Chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha participated on Tuesday in the meeting of the National Council of the party.
Speaking about the political situation that the DP Re-establishment Group went through, Berisha said that this regime does not accept the vote and that it can only be overthrown by a revolution.
“Today we are at a moment where each of you, every Albanian who adheres to a handful of basic principles, some basic principles of a free and sovereign country, must ask himself some questions: What are we going to do today, is this regime overturned by free vote, when citizens are not allowed to vote freely, a regime that has replaced the rule of law with the narco-state? We are people of politics, we cannot become illusive. It is overthrown only by revolution, only by revolution,” he said.
Berisha said that the DP is entering another phase of the revolution and must work to win the local elections.
“We are in the revolution, but now another phase is required. We enter a phase in which we have to work for the victory of the elections from morning until late in the evening,” said Berisha. /Argumentum.al
