TIRANA, February 20 – The Chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha, declared on Monday that the peaceful revolution should continue not only with peaceful protests, but also with civil disobedience.
In a meeting with the political leaders of the districts, Berisha spoke about the beginning of the revolution, considering it a good start.
“In the conditions of this monism, which has violated the laws, the Constitution, the rule of law, I don’t know how there can be any other solution without an electroshock of this system, without its overthrow,” Berisha said, calling for an extraordinary work to convince the Albanians in this thesis and to attract them in this movement.
Likewise, Berisha stressed that the DP should prepare for civil disobedience because it is an essential element of the peaceful revolution.
“But the peaceful revolution is not only a revolution of peaceful protests. It is a civil disobedience revolution first and foremost. We must prepare. Civil disobedience is an essential element of peaceful revolution,” he said.
Also, Berisha said that he believes that PM Edi Rama is not removed from office with the vote.
“We can save (Albania) only by uniting. This regime is not removed otherwise. If anyone thinks that this one will be removed with a vote, I personally don’t believe that it will work. Every day shows that this mafia state is turning more and more into a mafia electoral machine. People support us! Albania has never seen such protests,” said Berisha. /Argumentum.al
