TIRANA, January 14 – The Chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha, present at the ceremony of the 32nd anniversary of the establishment of the DP in Durrës, dwelt in his speech on the developments of the years of democratic changes in Albania, stating that the revolution of that time took place in the conditions of no international support.
“Today, Durrës and Albania are 32 years away from that period, but we are still in a monism that is absolutely more powerful than in 1991. Today we are in a monism that exerts all kinds of violence on Albanian citizens, including the violence of the most modern technologies,” said Berisha.
He also touched on the current situation in the Democratic Party, saying that there are efforts to annihilate the Democratic Party, but according to him, the battle with ideals is a quixotic battle.
“We are the first party against which international corruption is used to suppress it. Corrupt diplomats rushed to destroy the DP. Here we are, prouder than ever,” said Berisha. /Argumentum.al
