The former veteran leader of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha has reacted harshly after the denunciation in the special prosecutor’s office for serious crimes, known as SPAK, of his 5 supporters in confronting the current head, Lulzim Basha for forgery.
Berisha said in a post on social networks on Monday that this decision to denounce 5 democrats to SPAK was taken with the advice and support of Prime Minister Edi Rama. According to him, Basha is hopeless and has touched his political and moral end. Berisha emphasized that Albania does not deserve a façade opposition.
The Democratic Party reported on Monday to SPAK deputies Belind Këlliçi, Edmond Spaho, Albana Vokshi, as well as Ivi Kaso, Ervin Minarolli for the falsification of the DP stamp.
“The opposition is neither a seal nor a lock! Terrified by the decision to dismiss him with 4446 votes in the Assembly of the Democratic Party dated 11.12.2021 the hostage of Edi Rama decided that with the advice and support of his boss to sue in SPAK the will of thousands of Democrats massively expressed against him as never before seen in the history of the Democratic Party!” said Berisha’s post.
Denouncing it as a desperate action to seek help from Edi Rama and his phalanx in justice, according to Berisha, such acts show that the former leadership of the DP has touched its political and moral end.
“Lulzim Basha has lost the elections, he has lost the citizens, he has lost the Democrats, he has lost the delegates, he has lost the structures and the Democratic Party itself, but he thinks that he can continue bargaining and secret agreements with Edi Rama with seals and locks!” said Berisha, noting that Albania does not deserve and will never have an opposition and pluralism facade! / Argumentum.al
