TIRANA, June 5 – The Chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha declared again in his speech at Monday’s plenary session of the Assembly that the May 14 elections were a shameful criminal farce.
According to him, ghost voters or voters who voted more than once, twice or three times in different cities, totaling 547,000, were used in the elections.
“In the municipality of Vlora they reached 29 percent, in the municipality of Vora 15 percent, in Përrenjas 28 percent, in Kurbin 30 percent, in Konispol 34 percent, in Has 18 percent, in Kamza 21 percent, in Durrrs 23 percent, in Shkodra 16 percent, in Devoll 20 percent, in Delvina 34 percent, in Mallakastra 11 percent and so on,” said Berisha, who stressed that it is this army of phantom voters that was used massively to cheat the result of the May 14 election, among other factors.
“I stand here with my powerful appeal to protest and only to protest. Otherwise, those who try to justify this monstrous vote theft become supporters of a crime unprecedented in electoral history. I am convinced that hundreds of thousands of idealists who voted for the opposition will stand up and create the opportunity to vote freely,”he said in the Assembly.
Berisha also touched upon the situation in Kosovo, denouncing, according to him, “the alignment of Edi Rama’s attitudes with his boss, Vucic.”
“A dramatic situation was created in the north of Kosovo. The analysis has been done and while strongly supporting the right of the government of Kosovo to establish the law throughout its territory, I also call for it to take into account the spirit of the law and coordinate actions with the international factor. But I am here to condemn the shameful daily anti-Albanian attacks of Edi Rama against the Prime Minister of Kosovo,” said Berisha. /argumentum.al
