TIRANA, March 12 – “The May 14 elections are a message that the citizens of Albania and Pogradec must give, that we can never accept a criminal organization that seeks to eliminate the opposition from the country,” has said the chairman of the Democratic Party (DP ), Sali Berisha in his speech in Pogradec, where he introduced the DP candidate for the municipality, Zihni Tollozhina on Sunday.
Further he said that Albanians can never accept a group, a criminal organization, which lives in luxury for itself, which works day and night to enrich itself and its clientele, and does not work for the citizens at all, but despises them.
“The May 14 elections are elections for change. Today we are the most stolen and poorest people in Europe. We have had a difficult journey. Albania’s wealth here has been fabulous, which this regime turned into a curse for Albanians, into wealth for itself and its oligarchs,” said Berisha.
In conclusion the DP head asked if Albanians will continue to remain the least paid citizens of the Balkans and Europe at a time when in 2013 Albanians managed to have the highest salaries in the entire region, including Bulgaria and Romania. “Where are we today? Today we have salaries 30-40% lower than Kosovo,” said Berisha. /Argumentum.al
