TIRANA, February 1 – After setting Tuesday February 11 as the date to hold the next protest, the chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha, gathered the Parliamentary Group on Wednesday. The focus of the meeting’s discussion was the approach DP will have in this protest, which Berisha described as the ‘final battle’ against Rama’s regime.
The head of the Democratic Party asked the MPs for intensive dialogue with the voters to clarify everything before the February 11 protest. He declared that this revolution can never fail, it must only know victory.
“The circumstances are like this, today or never, we must stand up in a democratic revolution, in a strong and stable movement until the removal of this regime from power. Edi Rama is a rot that spreads shame every day, shame for every Albanian,” declared Berisha.
According to him, DP deputies have a great duty, first in an intensive dialogue with their constituents, to clarify everything. “Why is this battle, this revolution, vital? Will we surrender? Never! This revolution can never fail, it must know only victory, we must save Albania from this man,” said Berisha.
A few days ago, the DP chairman had a meeting with his Freedom Party (FP) ally, Ilir Meta, who underlined the importance of the protests. With both leaders standing on the same line, the February 11 protest will find opposition allies together in the square. /Argumentum.al
