The Russian Embassy in Tirana has confirmed that the dead bodies of 4 Russian tourists have been taken to their country. According to them, another examination will be performed there.
“In the early morning of October 22, the dead bodies of Russian citizens, who lost their lives on October 15 in the territory of the Republic of Albania were taken to Russia on a regular flight. According to Russian legislation, a medical examination can be performed. We hope to get the official conclusions from the Albanian side as soon as possible, as well as the further close cooperation of the Russian and Albanian law enforcement bodies to clarify the circumstances of the tragedy,” the statement said.
The Russian media has continued to cover closely the serious event in Qerret of Kavaja, central Albania, where 4 Russian tourists lost their lives.
Ria Novosti reported that no signs of violence were found on the bodies of the four Russian tourists. Citing sources from the prosecution, Ria Novosti wrote that investigators are proving into the data from security cameras. According to them, the victims were in good physical condition before entering the spa.
