TIRANA, September 15 – The deepening of cooperation between Albania and Bulgaria, as well as the support that this country has given to Kosovo, were the focus of the meeting held between President Bajram Begaj and the deputy president of Bulgaria, Iliana Iotova on Friday.
According to the announcement from the Presidency, during the meeting Begaj appreciated the very good cooperation between the two countries in a year that coincides with the 110th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Albania and Bulgaria.
According to him, the high-level visits that the two countries have exchanged in recent years should continue even further in order to deepen cooperation in all spheres of mutual interest.
President Begaj appreciated Bulgaria’s support in the European integration of Albania, and considered Bulgaria an important economic partner. According to him, the many opportunities that the two countries have should be used to further strengthen this partnership.
Also, the President appreciated Bulgaria’s continuous support towards the Republic of Kosovo as one more guarantee for the stability and progress of the Western Balkans. /argumentum.al
