The candidates of the House of Freedom are candidates for the Re-establishment Commission elected by Democratic Party (DP) members who are part of a movement launched by the veteran Democrat leader, Sali Berisha.
This was stated by the Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI), which responded to the DP of Lulezim Basha, emphasizing that one vote for Basha is a vote for Prime Minister Edi Rama who keeps him in the opposition.
According to SMI, MP Basha is not a real oppositionist, and has no connection with the real opposition inside or outside the Democratic Party, and if he had stuck to the word with SMI and the Democrats of the greatest protests that Albania has known, today he would have been prime minister.
“But MP Basha is not interested in Rama’s departure. Today, his only interest is to have a seal, through which to continue as he did before and during April 25, to sign a financial agreement with Prime Minister Rama,” stressed the statement released by SMI on Sunday.
SMI and Christian Democrat Party (CDP), which have established a coalition for the March 6 partial local elections with the Democratic Party (DP) Re-establishment Committee, have made possible the registration of the latter’s candidates to participate in the local elections.
“Democracy is a race and the citizens deserve real alternatives to the government, not fake candidates for a race with predetermined results, like the one on April 25. On April 25 and March 6, one thing remains certain: A vote for Basha is a vote for Rama, the Prime Minister, who keeps Basha in the opposition with bread,” said the statement. / Argumentum.al
