TIRANA, September 20 – The State Commissioner of Elections, Ilirjan Celibashi declared on Wednesday that 45,946 voters have the opportunity to vote in the partial local elections for the mayor of Kukes on September 24.
In a press conference, he stated that 5 political parties have been registered as electoral subjects in these elections. There is a coalition registered as an electoral subject, which is ‘Together we win’ representing the opposition.
“Only 2 candidates for mayor have been presented for these elections. Emri Vata is the candidate proposed by the coalition “Together we win” while Albert Halilaj is proposed by the SP,” said Celibashi.
As for the polling station commissions, Celibashi said that there are 9 polling stations so far which are filled with 7 members, the rest have 6 members. “There will be only one ballot for the candidate of the municipality of Kukës”.
“These elections will cost the state budget 25,457,496 ALL, which in fact are not additional money requested in the CEC budget,” said Celibashi. /argumentum.al
