The Central Election Commission (CEC) has approved the decision giving the mandate of the Socialist Party (SP) MP to Pandeli Majko, who was left out of parliament in the elections of April 25 last year. After the resignation of Alqi Bllako, who is arrested by the special prosecution for serious crimes (SPAK) under the charges of corruption in the mega scandal of incinerators, Majko will be in the Parliament for the next 3 years.
He was ranked only one place below the SP winning list in the April 25 elections, which prevented him from being in Parliament for a year. It is learned that Majko has submitted the decriminalization form to the CEC.
After verifying the form, the Central Election Commission will forward the letter of approval to the Parliament, where Majko will be sworn in.
Majko has held key posts in Socialist governments in the past and he was Prime Minister as well as Defense Minister. /Argumentum.al
