TIRANA, October 11 – The Chairperson of the Commission for Foreign Policy, Mimi Kodheli, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Tirana, Tayyar Kağan Atay, in a meeting in the premises of the Assembly on Wednesday.
The purpose of the meeting was the information by the Turkish ambassador that the chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Grand Assembly of Turkey, Fuat Oktay, who until a few months ago served as the first vice president of the country, has accepted Kodheli’s invitation and will visit the Assembly of Albania together with a delegation during the month of November.
Kodheli expressed her satisfaction for the upcoming visit as well as offered all the readiness of the Assembly for the organization of such a visit, describing it as another step in the direction of the excellent relations that exist between the two countries.
The interlocutors also talked about the political and security situation in the region as well as in the international arena. /argumentum.al
