TIRANA, December 30 – The Albanian Government approved for the fifth time changes in the 2022 budget, increasing the level of income, as well as that of expenses. In the Normative Act, approved on Thursday at the government meeting, revenues are calculated at the level of 583,315 million ALL, from 581,831 million ALL that were calculated at the beginning of December, while expenses are 667,178 million ALL from 665,694 million Lek. Meanwhile, the budget deficit remains unchanged, at the level of 83,863 million ALL.
Last Thursday, the Government approved a package for social support to cope with the effects of price increases influenced by the Russian invasion of Ukraine of 8 billion lek. The package covers 1 million individuals, including 695,000 pensioners who will benefit 8,000 ALL.
Support will be given to families in economic assistance, especially mothers who head families in the economic assistance scheme, paraplegics, tetraplegics, people with disabilities, work invalids, as well as state employees, firefighters, policemen, doctors, nurses, teachers, oil workers , energy sector employees, etc.
The government’s support package of 8 billion ALL will be distributed in the first days of January.
“The budget reserve fund of 10,620 million ALL is used in the amount of 2,820 million ALL by decision of the Council of Ministers for unforeseen cases of the general government units; in the amount of 7,800 million ALL by decision of the Council of Ministers, for immediate financial support for the maximum mitigation of war inflation in a difficult economic winter for the whole of Europe,” said the Normative Act of December 29, published in the Official Gazette. /Argumentum.al
