TIRANA, September 3 – Arguments have broken out in the Ashraf 3 camp among the Mujahideen over who will flee Albania first, according to what an Iranian media report quoted by Pampflet said on Saturday.
Some time ago it was said that the mujahedin of Camp Ashraf 3 in Manez will move to Canada after the control exercised by the Albanian police and the growing pressure from the government.
But the plan to evacuate MEK members to another country has sparked disagreements within Camp Ashraf 3, as there is uncertainty about their future.
In the Iranian media article, it was said that after the raid by the Albanian police in June, many leaders of MEK have been declared guilty by the court for cyber crimes and for this reason other leaders inside the camp are afraid of being arrested in the next raid.
The Iranian media further added that MEK leaders are trying to save their high-ranking ‘comrades’ by trying to send them away with temporary Canadian passports or temporary residence permits in Canada in the first step. Since not all MEK members can be sent to Canada, new plans are underway to relocate a number of them to Germany.
The Albanian authorities banned Maryam Rajavi, leader of the MEK group, from entering Albania in August of this year. Rajavi fled Albania to France at the end of June after Albanian police forces raided Camp Ashraf 3 due to her involvement in “cyber attacks” against foreign institutions in Albania. During the search, 150 computer devices were seized and several people were arrested. /argumentum.al
