TIRANA, May 4 – The State Commissioner of Elections, Ilirjan Celibashi, in a statement to the media on Thursday guaranteed the citizens of Elbasan, Kamze and Vora for the secrecy of the vote, since voting in these municipalities will be conducted electronically on May 14.
The aspects of the functionality of this device were verified on Thursday both for the case of use by voters as well as for the case of transmitting the information that these devices will have on the day of voting and that will be transmitted to the data center at the CEC.
Celibashi also confirmed the guarantee of the equipment regarding the secrecy of the vote. “There is no possibility or mechanism for anyone to verify the vote given by a voter for certain subjects.”
Regarding the announcement of the result in the municipalities with electronic voting, Celibashi stated that it is intended that the preliminary result in these three cities be announced within 30 minutes from the moment the voting process closes. /argumentum.al
