TIRANA, February 15 – The Constitutional Court announced on Wednesday that the vote for the election of the new president of the Constitutional Court failed, as the three candidates did not receive the legal majority of votes.
“Today, the meeting of the judges of the Constitutional Court took place in accordance with the legal provisions for the election of the new President of the Constitutional Court. After the presentation of the platforms and visions of the candidates, Fiona Papajorgji, Marjana Semini and Holta Zaçaj, the first round of voting continued. At the end of this process, none of the candidates received a legal majority of at least 5 votes,” the announcement of the Constitutional Court said.
Likewise, the Constitutional Court announced that, “the meeting of judges of the Constitutional Court has decided to hold the second round of voting on February 17, 2023, at 10:00 a.m.” /Argumentum.al
