TIRANA, November 14 – The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, and the visiting Minister for Foreign Affairs of Romania, Luminita Odobescu, signed in Tirana on Wednesday the Action Plan for cooperation between the two MFAs for the years 2024-2025.
The Action Plan aims to increase cooperation between the two countries in 4 main areas: increasing political dialogue and exchanges between the two ministries; EU integration; cooperation on NATO and security policy and increased cooperation in the field of consular affairs and crisis management.
During the Hasani-Odobescu meeting, a fruitful exchange of views took place regarding the further expansion and deepening of bilateral cooperation in all areas of common interest, but also regarding regional cooperation, developments in the region, Europe and beyond.
The Albanian chief diplomat expressed his gratitude to his Romanian counterpart for the support that Romania has given to the European integration process of Albania, but also to other countries of the region in the EU, and requested that this support continue even further in the future.
This is the first visit to Albania by a Romanian Foreign Minister since 2014. /argumentum.al
