TIRANA – The highest number of the new cases of affected persons with coronavirus is in a penitentiary where 13 inmates were confirmed positive, said on Thursday Rovena Daja, an official at the Institute of Public Health (ISHP) who revealed that the total number of Covid-related people stood at 29 in Albania during the last 24 hours. The other hotbed of the infection remains the town of Kruja with 7 new cases bringing to 65 the total number of infected people. Evidence has shown that most of the infected people are workers at the textile workshops operating in this area whose number is reportedly 61.
Daja said that the total number of the infected people has amounted to 663 in Albania while 6,509 persons have been tested so far.
“Regardless of the daily fluctuations of the infected or the sick people with the Covid-19 the situation continues to be under control,” said the ISHP official who reiterated that the real indicator of the severity of the crisis is the number of the hospitalized patients which is in stable figures./argumentum.al
