TIRANA – “Today we have 27 positive cases! We have entered the fire zone where the enemy is aiming to take more lives as our so far resistance has prevented it from playing havoc and destroy the barricade of the white uniforms,” has said PM Edi Rama after the official daily announcement of the medical bulletin on coronavirus epidemic of the last 24-hours.
In Friday’s appearance the deputy health minister Mira Rakacolli said the number of the coronavirus affected persons amounted to 304 after 27 new cases were confirmed during the last 24 hours out of which 12 were in Shkodra, northern Albania.
In a strong appeal to Albanians Rama asked them to make vital key word of the fight during the coming days the motto: the economy falls and rises again, the dead do not come to life anymore!
“Nothing has more value than life, and the protection of life is the goal and we are the means to achieve this human, civil, national goal,” said Rama in a post on his FB account which was accompanied with a video showing victims of Covid-19 virus in Iran where more than 3100 people have died.
According to the details provided by Ms. Rakacolli, 73 patients are hospitalized at the infectious hospital and 4 others in the COVID 2 “Shefqet Ndroqi” hospital in Tirana and the number of those tested is 112 during the last 24 hours.
Tirana with 146 cases and Durrës with 32 cases top the map of the spread of the virus.
“Shkodra had the highest daily number – 12 infected people. They all belong to two families… This shows the failure to respect the social distancing and the preventive measures,” said the deputy health minister./argumentum.al
