Former President of Croatia Stipe Mesic paid a visit to Kosovo where he held meetings with the highest authorities of this country. His agenda included meetings with President Vjosa Osnani, Speaker of Parliament Glauk Konjufca, and Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
It is reported that President Osmani received Mesic together with the former president of Albania, Bamir Topi on Saturday.
Osmani reacted on ‘Facebook’ where she published a photo with the two former presidents, as he wrote that they are great friends of Kosovo. “With two great friends of Kosovo: former Croatian President Stipe Mesić and former Albanian President Bamir Topi,” wrote Osmani.
It is also noted that during the meeting it was emphasized that the close interstate relations between Kosovo, Albania and Croatia are built on strong historical foundations and traditional mutual respect between the Albanian and Croatian nations.
President Osmani also stressed the importance of close cooperation between the three countries, in the face of regional and global challenges and in order to stabilize and advance the Euro-Atlantic agendas in the Western Balkans.
Mesic is well known for his strong support and sympathy for the Albanian nation.
